SPOLIERS for: Kite

A classic anime movie from 1998 which I have be searching for for a rather long time.  So when I was on Tumblr and saw post by Meg Turney indicating that this film was on Netflix I clicked straight onto the app. I quickly became engrossed with the rugged animation and ample amounts of blood splatter. Holding off a crimson gun that only shoots exploding bullets.
Sawa is our protagonist who has blood one her hands since she was 13 years old, but will not stop assassinating until she gets her revenge. Even wearing earrings made out of the blood of each parent to match her red pistol. Her typical victims are middle aged men who like little girls and disposing bodies. I would like to say that she is given these jobs out of irony of the man who took her in and abused her in a similar manner, but instead trained to kill. Her partner on one job, Oburi, is looking for a way out of this life with someone. He believes that someone is Sawa who has been commissioned to take him out due to the jealousy from Akai. Who is not only a cop, but on the side leads a company assassins. Akai also is the one who murdered Sawa's parents. Oburi will later tell Sawa about this, but she already knows and is only looking for the opportunity to dish of revenge. Thankfully this situation does present itself after Kanie is sent to take Obrui out, but Sawa protects her friend, then goes after Akai. Which is after Sawa slips up on a job and creates a scene while taking out a embezzling hollywood director, but leaving his brother a live. That fight sequence is gorgeous just so you know.
The ending is something to behold. It seems to be like the end of a disney princess opening. The prince and princess settle down in there abandomed apartment with eight cats to feed and creating a murder free life. But oh no no no! Instead Oburi takes a single bullet to the chest on his way home from work, leaving Sawa alone at home, but then someone comes in. and fade to black.....

As I have typed previouslyyou can find this OVA to stream on Netflix, although this is a heavily edited version taking out a lot of the scenes with sexual intercourse in them. This doesn't take away from the show in anyway. Besides the a few insights to Sawa's character.
