Quicky Review: The Wolf of Wall Street

A new film I have been dying to see by Martin Scoresse featuring talents like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and other fabulous faces. Even a naked Emma Stone! Deserving its R rating, maybe even on the verge of X?
This movie is super long, so be forewarned before you go out and watch the film. Its a good time. Fun with friends, definitely not a family film. And is extremely erratic with its behavior, since in fact a lot of the scenes the actors were given the liberty to improvise. This may because Scoresse wanted to really create a raw, crazy, atmosphere for the movie. In the end reaching that goal of a dream like high which quickly plummets. The story is there, but not so much developed. DiCaprio is a riot and captures Jordan Belfort very well. Jonah Hill is insane and very much over the top. The movie is funny, but not something worth racing to the theater to see. I honestly preferred the film "American Hustle"which captured certain aspects which "The Wolf of Wall Street" was trying to capture.
