Quicky Review for: Sherlock Season 3 Premiere

The hit BBC TV show has finally returned after years of waiting! Tumblr is frantic and the fans are absolutely astounded! Now if you were not apart of the crew to watch the live stream, don't worry I have found a good site that hasn't been restricted yet so you can join in on the action.
I must say that I will try not spoil anything, but I do have a few things t say about the episode. First off, Sherlock gets his hat back and John has never be closer to going on a murderous rampage. Now, it is to be said that within the two years after Renichback fall. Everyone would have moved on, now out of the characters we have seen again and even the new ones its easy to come to the conclusion that this season (which will hopelessly be more then three episodes long!) will have the focus on John and Sherlock relationship. Also, Anderson may become a bigger character since he has become the catalyst so to speak when it comes to the theories behind Sherlock's survival. Some of which are quite plausible, but others are meant for fan service.
We finally meet John's wife to be, who doesn't receive much screen time in this episode, nor showing of the dynamic relationship between John and herself. Though next episode we will probably.
Now, some of you may be Sherlock fans and other not. I do highly recommend watching the series, but be forewarned that this new episode has a high impact of adrenaline rushes, before pulling at you're torn heart strings. The dark themes which is evidently going to dictate this new season created an almost harsher Sherlock. In my opinion, for a joke that is played on John is rather ruthless even for Sherlock. But earlier in the episode John sort of makes up for it, his reaction to seeing his ghost of a friend is truly a spectacle.

I am excited to continued watching and will be sure to give you a full run down after the new season finishes.
Oh! And if you would like to stream the episode please use this link: http://www.putlocker.com/file/7F2800DAEFC5A6BC#

SPOLIERS for: Hick

We follow the daughter of two drunks, “luli”. After her father leaves her and her mother Luli comes to the decision to hitch hike from Nebraska out to Las Vegas. While hitch-hiking she meets Eddie, a drifter with a limp. After she insults him he kicks her out of his truck. Luli is then picked up by another drifter named Glenda who has a son she left with a close friend and is married to a rich developer named Lloyd. Who happens to be very particular of his soda brands, product placement possibly? Glenda and Luli rob a bank together and really have some serious bonding together. Luli has never really had a very close relationship with an adult before so Glenda's young audited and independent style really empowers Luli.
Until Eddie pops back up at Glenda’s husband’s residence where he persuades Luli to go into town with him. She is nearly assaulted in a bathroom stall, but Eddie saves her. But nearly kills the attacker in the process. Then Eddie takes her to a motel, where he gives her a pretty pink dress and tells her that Glenda entrusted her care to him. Luli goes out of the room for some air and ends up playing a drinking a game with a boy named clement, Eddie finds tipsy Luli and takes advantage of her. Luli then spends several days tied up in a cabin until Glenda finds her, sadly Eddie shoots her with Luli's revolver. Once Luli is free she battles with returning home to Nebraska or moving to LA.
This movie is heart warming, but has many adult themes to it so think twice about watching it with the family. Although it could be considered a coming of age film since Luli is only thirteen. But try not to pay attention to much to the side story that Luli draws, it does't really add to much to the plot except for Luli's parents.

"Hick" can be found on Netflix.

SPOLIERS for: Lovelace

Amanda Seyfried is Linda Lovelace. We follow the story of Linda Lovelace’s claim to fame. She adores the freedom her fame provides when she's outside, but behind closed doors her husband Chuck not only beats her, but sells her to several men at a time and made her audition for a porno. Famously known as "Deep Throut".  A staple marking the beginning of the sex revolution.
We see Linda's mother refuse to help Linda and tell her to do whatever her husband asks, only to find out that it would lead to the movie and abuse. James Franco portrays Hugh Hefner by the way. Its quite amazing, truly spot on. While Seyfried's portrayal of Linda is really well done. Perfectly creating the innocent girl next door act and a girl wishing to break free. Chuck offers that to Linda as shown in the film.
This movie dives deep into Linda's history and how she gave birth to a son at 16 years-old, forcing her family to move. A lot of this movie is based off of the book Linda wrote in the eighties knowns as "Ordeal." Where we see how she recovers from the abuse and is able to move past the shame which has dictated her life due to the seventeen days she spent in the porn industry.

This movie was realized in August, but can be found to stream on Netflix.

Top Twenty Films of 2013!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope that you had a movie filled year! I know that I did! So as a way to warp things up I though that I would share my top movies that I saw this year. In the order of when they came out.
Now, disclaimer I didn't see all of them and these are personal favorites so if a favorite at yours did not make it onto the list feel free to leave comment down below!

1. The Sapphires, a fun Australian film taking place during the Vietnam war. A group of singing sisters are taken to the front lines to provide entertainment for the troops. It's sweet and very funny, with a dash of drama!

2. The Great Gatsby, an excellent movie adaptation of the famed book. Over the top and bringing the roaring twenties prohibition era to life with seamless CGI!

3. Star Trek: Into Darkness, the second installment in the rebooted series. It was fun and flawless.

4. The Heat, Sandra Bullock reminds me why I lover her so much in this cop comedy.

5. Pacific Rim, Has been added to my favorite movies of all time list, even though when I first watched the trailers I was convinced it was going to be utter shit. I was proved so wrong when I actually saw the film, it was not only beautifully animated, but the story and characters were really defined and not gleaned over so they could focus on the action.

6. The Butler, A theme that I have seen this year is films focusing on black history or equal rights movements. Also, the seventies. This is a film that is just out of the ball park!

7. The Book Thief, I honestly finished the book three days before I saw the film and cried along with some random guy because of it. The acting is superb and I got very connected with the characters and how the director added so much historical context, I was so flipping happy!

8. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, I was a counting down the second until I could see this film and boy was I given gold, but that thrust into a pit of emptiness with that cliff hanger and Taruiel!!!! Now I wait until December 17 for the final installment....
