SPOLIERS for: Lovelace

Amanda Seyfried is Linda Lovelace. We follow the story of Linda Lovelace’s claim to fame. She adores the freedom her fame provides when she's outside, but behind closed doors her husband Chuck not only beats her, but sells her to several men at a time and made her audition for a porno. Famously known as "Deep Throut".  A staple marking the beginning of the sex revolution.
We see Linda's mother refuse to help Linda and tell her to do whatever her husband asks, only to find out that it would lead to the movie and abuse. James Franco portrays Hugh Hefner by the way. Its quite amazing, truly spot on. While Seyfried's portrayal of Linda is really well done. Perfectly creating the innocent girl next door act and a girl wishing to break free. Chuck offers that to Linda as shown in the film.
This movie dives deep into Linda's history and how she gave birth to a son at 16 years-old, forcing her family to move. A lot of this movie is based off of the book Linda wrote in the eighties knowns as "Ordeal." Where we see how she recovers from the abuse and is able to move past the shame which has dictated her life due to the seventeen days she spent in the porn industry.
